Gymnocalycium species are fairly easy to grow and have a "WOW" effect with their unique coloring and beautiful pink flowers. This cacti with maturity will create clusters of new plants. Best to repot every Spring to keep up with a healthy root system and growth. This plant will do great outdoors in a sunny location but protect from harsh sun to prevent burning. Suitable to grow indoors by a bright windowsill or under a grow light since it thrives in full sun. Will perform best if kept in full light with  infrequent watering and warm temperatures.

Watering Needs Indoors: Instead of giving your succulents gradual sips of water throughout the week, give them a good soaking, to the point where water runs out the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. Be sure to empty the water that runs into the saucer, succulents do not like to sit in water. Then let the soil dry out completely before watering again.

Watering Needs Outdoors: In the Summer water your succulents every two weeks, by soaking them and letting them dry before watering again. In the Winter water your succulents once a month.
