Senecio Radicans "String of Bananas" is a very popular trailing succulent plant. This plant grows long flexible stems/strands with chubby banana shaped leaves. A delicate leaf window runs through the center of its leaves, this is how the plant absorbs sunlight. A perfect succulent to display in hanging baskets or tall containers to let grow nice and long. Better to keep this plant out of direct sunlight to keep healthy and bright green.
Native to: South Africa
Hardiness: tender soft succulent - will not tolerate frost
Recommended light conditions: full sun
Bloomtime: late Summer through Fall
Watering Needs Indoors: Instead of giving your succulents gradual sips of water throughout the week, give them a good soaking, to the point where water runs out the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. Be sure to empty the water that runs into the saucer, succulents do not like to sit in water. Then let the soil dry out completely before watering again.
Watering Needs Outdoors: In the Summer water your succulents every two weeks, by soaking them and letting them dry before watering again. In the Winter water your succulents once a month.

This is a beautiful plant and is holding up very well. Several of the other plants received are slowly dying and probably won’t survive but this one is doing remarkable. I am hoping it will continue to do so.
