Mangave 'Freckles and Speckles': A cute plant to match a cute name! Minty green leaves with a lavender overlay are lightly freckled with dark burgundy spots. Just like human freckles, the spotted overlay will be more pronounced in direct sunlight. In shade, the leaves will be greener. The leaves curl up slightly to showcase their white, serrated edge. Finishing up the package are rose pink terminal spines. When grown outdoors in full sun, this cultivar can reach 20" wide and 8" tall at maturity. This is the perfect size and habit for combining with smaller scale succulents in containers.

Native to: Mexico

Zone: 10

Hardiness: will not tolerate frost

Recommended light conditions: full sun

Bloomtime: Fall

Bloom Color: yellow

Watering Needs Indoors: Instead of giving your succulents gradual sips of water throughout the week, give them a good soaking, to the point where water runs out the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. Be sure to empty the water that runs into the saucer, succulents do not like to sit in water. Then let the soil dry out completely before watering again.

Watering Needs OutdoorsIn the Summer water your succulents every two weeks, by soaking them and letting them dry before watering again. In the Winter water your succulents once a month.

Love!

This beautiful and unusual plant arrived in great condition, packed very well for shipping. The plant arrived large in size with many offsets. I divided offsets from mother plant to start new plants. I live in Florida and keep the plant in a pot in full sun. One of the offsets I planted in the ground and is doing well in the Florida summer heat. I’m so glad I made this purchase.
